Dwarf Cosmos "Vega" (color mix) - Cosmos bipinnatus.
Abundantly flowering mix of a charming annual. Plants in open ground form densely branched, erect bushes 50-60 cm high. The inflorescences are large, bright, 7-8 cm, and look elegant against the background of openwork foliage. Cosmos looks great in the background of borders and flower beds. Suitable for growing in outdoor planters.
Sowing for seedlings in early April. Planting in a permanent place in May at a distance of 30-35 cm. Tolerates transplanting well. Sown in open ground in May or before winter.
The seeds are slightly pressed into the soil without covering them on top, as they germinate in the light. Seedlings 10 cm high are thinned or planted out. For earlier flowering, sowing for seedlings is possible from March to mid-April.
Prefers light, well-drained soils without water stagnation. A sunny place, protected from the wind. An excess of fertilizers and frequent feeding before flowering reduce the number of buds.
The main rules of care are: timely and regular watering, loosening.
Blooms from July to October. To prolong flowering, it is necessary to remove faded inflorescences.
Used for planting in mixed flower beds. Cut flowers retain their decorativeness for a long time and will decorate any floral arrangement.
Pairs well with chamomile, phlox, marigolds, and carnations.
